Job summary

Inertia is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Technician to support advanced precision mechanical design, fabrication, and system integration efforts. This role requires a hands-on problem solver who can work independently, manage multiple tasks, and contribute to innovative technical solutions.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a mechanical technician or similar hands-on role
  • Strong mechanical design and drawing skills
  • Demonstrated hands-on fabrication and build experience, including minor machining, soldering, working with pressure systems, and performing equipment maintenance
  • Working knowledge of electronics and system integration
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Comfortable wearing multiple hats and switching tasks as needed
  • Strong problem-solving mindset — you figure things out and make them better
  • Clear communicator who values good documentation
  • CAD experience (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, AutoCAD, etc.)
  • Experience with prototyping, R&D, or custom hardware

Salary & Benefits:

  • The base salary range for this role is $80,000 - $110,000; The pay range provided is an estimated base range for this role. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and education.
