This individual must be a self-starter, capable of working with minimal supervision, who possesses strong analytical, troubleshooting and decision-making skills.What you’ll doTroubleshoot, operate and maintain gas-fired turbine engines, gas compressors, standby generator engines, centrifugal and diaphragm pumps, low pressure boilers, oil coolers, air compressors, large-bank cooler fans and gear boxes, large diameter valves and operators, and other auxiliary equipmentOperate compressor engines and support equipmentMaintain and repair pipelineOperate and maintain valves and operatorsInspect, repair and set regulators and relief valvesBlow down, purge and pressurize pipelines and/or stationsStorage field facility operations and maintenancePerform line locates on company pipelines and/or utility line patrols and associated ROW maintenancePlan, coordinate and perform mechanical maintenance activities, to include routine corrective maintenance, preventive maintenance, equipment and system improvements and major maintenance projectsComplete work orders, enter data into job plans, create new work orders, etc. in SAPOther tasks as requiredMinimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentRelevant oil and gas industry experienceUnderstand and describe the operation of a 4-cycle combustion engine3 years mechanical experience with internal combustion enginesPreferred QualificationsExperience in maintaining and troubleshooting turbine enginesKnowledge of internal combustion engines, centrifugal gas compressors, and standby generatorsExperience with gas turbine enginesIndustrial experience in a plant environmentThis position requires candidates to Have and maintain a valid driver’s license and safe driving recordSuccessfully complete a pre-employment medical screening, including drug and alcohol testingBe subject to call out 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and extended workdays and/or workweeks for emergency response purposesTravel to other company locations for temporary assignments, meetings or training which would involve some overnight stays away from homeBe subject to working conditions which include adverse weather and temperatures, heavy lifting (50 pounds), and cramped conditionsDriving a motor vehicle is an essential job function of this position.
