About The Position

The mechanical superintendent position at Power Design is a critical leadership role responsible for providing direction to the project team to complete the project on time while maintaining a high-level quality, safety and customer loyalty. The Mechanical Superintendent has a significant impact on the success of the company and delivering on our mission to be the most trusted name in the industry.

• Manage, evaluate and train field project team members.
• Plan, organize and direct production of contracted scope of work.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, inspectors and other trades.
• Coordinate production and attend meetings with other trades as well as the general contractor to identify and resolve any conflicts while providing excellent customer service.
• Ensure all installations meet quality and mechanical code standards.
• Manage material and personnel requirements necessary to meet schedule.
• Adhere to Power Design’s standards of quality, safety and best practices.

What we’re looking for

• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Experience with refrigeration HVAC systems and VRF/VRV systems.
• Progressive Mechanical, HVAC, or Plumbing leaders who love using technology and want a clear career path.
• Skilled field supervisor with at least five years of experience managing a scope and running multimillion-dollar projects.
• Active journeyman or master Mechanical or Plumbing license preferred.
• Proficient knowledge of the IMC, IPC, and IBC Standards; local codes; and construction safety requirements.
• Knowledge in managing plumbing systems and/or HVAC air distribution systems a plus.
• Familiarity with project management and construction technology applications such as Bluebeam, ProCore, BIM 360, CrewConnect, FieldWire, and/or Open Space preferred.
• Flexibility to travel to other Power Design project sites as needed within the state of Florida preferred.
