Job summary

100Hires, Inc. is seeking an estimator to own quotes for steam turbine overhaul and related equipment. You will analyze RFQs, model labor, material costs, and craft profitable quotes while aligning with shop capacity and deadlines.

Collaborate with machinists, welders, inspectors, and operations to ensure estimates meet customer standards and commitments; manage change orders and billing documentation through approval.

Qualifications

• Analyze RFQs, work scopes, drawings, and specifications to produce accurate estimates.
• Develop quotations for steam turbines, gas turbines, generators, gearboxes, and auxiliary equipment repairs.
• Estimate turnaround times using current workload and capacity data.
• Coordinate with operations to confirm manpower and machine availability.
• Track approved jobs from quote through production release.
• Support change orders and revise estimates when additional damage is identified.
• Assist purchasing with material and subcontractor pricing.
• Manage job cost billing for fixed price milestone contracts and Time and Materials jobs.
• Upload finalized invoices and supporting documentation to Ariba, Coupa, and Textura.
• Maintain historical cost databases and repair records.

You dissect the drawings and specifications, model labor, machining, welding, balancing, coating, and material costs, and align the schedule with real shop capacity. You verify manpower and machine availability, craft a compelling, profitable quote, and guide it through approval. When additional damage surfaces, you lead the change order and update the estimate.
