Summary
Our client, a top mechanical contractor, is currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Construction Project Manager for their San Diego, CA location. Backed by nearly a century of customer care and ownership, our client adheres to the highest safety standards for its employees and clients. They offer industry-leading building information modeling (BIM) capabilities, design/build services, sustainable solutions, commercial HVAC services, and complex mechanical and industrial system installations. This position will lead mechanical construction projects safely, on time, and within budget across various markets including Healthcare, Life Science, Commercial, Industrial, and others.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Project Manager will oversee safety of field personnel, labor productivity, quality assurance, project financials, projections, reporting, procurement, change order management, owner/client relations, project cash flow, and personnel management. They will ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and plans. Managers are responsible for directing and overseeing their team’s activities and being available during working hours.
Qualifications & Requirements
Successful candidates must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The following are required:
- 3-7 years of construction-related experience and/or a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project, Access, PowerPoint), Bluebeam Revu, Vista-Viewpoint, and Quotesoft Estimating Software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, multi-task environment.
- Basic business mathematical skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage time and details effectively.
- Ability to interpret various instructions and handle technical data organizationally.
