Qualifications

• ABET-accredited B.S. in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of mechanical design experience in fabricated assemblies.
• Ability to obtain U.S. security clearance if required.
• Proficient in CAD with Inventor or equivalent.
• Experience with welded structures and sheet metal.
• Ability to read technical specs and drawings.
• Willing to travel to customer sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design execution for cabinets, shielded assemblies, and related enclosures.
• Review kickoff requirements, specs, and drawings.
• Translate customer needs into executable mechanical designs.
• Manage DFMEA risk identification and mitigation prior to production release.
• Create 3D models, assemblies, and fabrication drawings; coordinate BIM integration.
• Ensure designs meet MIL-STD-188-125 and applicable standards.
• Support design reviews and release packages.
• Collaborate with PM, Production, Quality, and EMEV groups to meet milestones.
• Assist ECO development and implementation as required.
