Job summary

Hawaiian Dredging Construction Company, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer (Mechanical) to support the P209 mechanical construction scope on Oahu.

You will coordinate surveys, manage piping, pumps, HVAC, and fire sprinkler installations with project teams, subcontractors, and owners. The role offers growth in construction management and requires collaboration across engineering, field supervision, and management, with a focus on safety and quality on a major Hawaii project.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related field.
• Minimum two years of relevant mechanical construction experience.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical construction principles and best practices.
• Ability to read and apply construction drawings and technical documents.
• DBIDS security clearance is required or ability to obtain access.

Responsibilities

• Establish and monitor construction layout for temporary and permanent work elements.
• Coordinate with teams to identify survey requirements and project schedules.
• Support field activities and coordinate with construction operations on site.
• Manage quality control and ensure compliance with documents, specs and drawings.
• Procure and manage mechanical equipment, piping and materials.
• Review drawings and admin submittals and RFIs, guiding field personnel.
• Ensure work meets company standards and safety requirements.
