Job summary

Gilbert Mechanical is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to assist with overseeing the installation of mechanical systems in commercial and industrial buildings. The successful candidate will support Gilbert’s estimating, design, and project management teams to deliver customer satisfaction.

Strong communication and leadership skills are essential to effectively collaborate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Technology or related field preferred.
• Equivalent experience in mechanical construction, HVAC, piping, plumbing, or project management will be considered.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, BIM coordination or related design software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Estimate and develop proposals for HVAC, plumbing, piping, and mechanical construction projects.
• Support design-build projects by coordinating mechanical system design, equipment selection, constructability reviews, and project execution.
• Assist project managers from preconstruction through commissioning and closeout.
• Help direct and supervise project activities to ensure safety, quality, schedule, and budget objectives are achieved.
• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships and ensure projects are completed to the customer's satisfaction.
• Plan and coordinate labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and project resources.
