Job summary

I.K. Hofmann USA, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a client in Cedar Rapids, IA. You will plan, schedule, and monitor engineering projects, oversee startup and commissioning, and work with CAD and shop teams to prepare drawings and panel assemblies.

The position requires at least two years of engineering experience, an associate degree, and a valid driver’s license. Candidates must pass background, drug, and physical screenings and be able to work on site.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a related field.
• Valid driver's license; able to pass background, drug, and physical screenings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor assigned engineering projects.
• System startup and commissioning.
• Interface with CAD Department and shop for drawings and panel assembly on your project.
• Monitor compliance to applicable codes, QA/QC policies, and performance standards.
• Interact daily with clients to interpret needs and represent them in the field.
• Maintain time records and provide weekly documentation of time per project and task.
• Responsible for schematic drawings, PLC programming, operator interface design, and panel design.
