Job summary

SSW Advanced Technologies, LLC is seeking a Mechanical Engineer Project Coordinator to apply advanced mathematical and statistical methods to evaluate data and support engineering decisions. Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD is essential for developing and improving products and processes.

The candidate will coordinate design and fabrication activities and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering is required.
• Four to ten years related experience preferred.
• Familiarity with CAD software (SolidWorks/AutoCAD) and ability to interpret complex technical information.

Responsibilities

• Research and analyze data such as customer design proposal, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application.
• Designs products or systems such as instruments, controls, robots, engines, machines, and mechanical, thermal, hydraulic, or heat transfer systems.
• Designs products and systems to interface machines, hardware, and software.
• Plans and directs engineering personnel in fabrication of test control apparatus and equipment, and development of methods and procedures for testing products or systems.
• Directs and coordinates fabrication and installation activities to ensure products and systems conform to engineering design and customer specifications.
• Coordinates operation, maintenance, and repair activities to obtain optimum utilization of machines and equipment.
• Evaluates field installations and recommends design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
