RK Industries is seeking Project Engineers to support mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through final turnover. You will assist Project Managers, coordinate procurement, scheduling, budgeting, and documentation to keep projects moving safely, efficiently, and profitably.

The role offers hands-on exposure across the construction lifecycle with mentorship and opportunities for career growth and leadership as you advance toward project management roles.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in construction management, engineering, or related field.
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilités

  • Support Project Managers in executing and administering mechanical construction projects.
  • Maintain project documentation: daily reports, timecards, as-built drawings, receiving docs, change docs.
  • Assist with contract administration, negotiations, and compliance requirements.
  • Prepare and distribute project budgets and financial tracking reports.
  • Coordinate preconstruction and project turnover meetings and ensure permits and licenses are maintained.
  • Support procurement and subcontractor coordination and subcontract negotiations.

Project Engineer 1, 2 & 3

$70,000 - $100,000/year + Annual Incentive Bonus Eligibility + Benefits + Career Development Opportunities

The best Project Engineers do more than manage documentation and track project progress. They solve problems, coordinate critical project activities, support field execution, and help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and profitably.

At RK Industries, you'll play a vital role in the successful delivery of mechanical construction projects by supporting project planning, procurement, scheduling, budgeting, contract administration, subcontractor coordination, and project closeout activities. Working closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, customers, vendors, subcontractors, and internal departments, you'll help keep projects moving from preconstruction through final completion.

Whether you're launching your construction management career or expanding your project leadership experience, this position provides hands-on exposure to every phase of the construction lifecycle while creating a strong foundation for future growth into project management and operations leadership roles.

What You'll Do
  • Support Project Managers in the execution and administration of mechanical construction projects
  • Manage and maintain project documentation, including daily reports, timecards, as-built drawings, receiving documents, and change documentation
  • Assist with contract administration, negotiations, and compliance requirements
  • Prepare and distribute project budgets and financial tracking reports
  • Coordinate and participate in preconstruction and project turnover meetings
  • Ensure permits, licenses, and project compliance requirements are maintained
  • Support procurement and buyout activities for materials, equipment, and subcontractors
  • Assist with subcontract negotiations, scope reviews, and contract execution
  • Manage submittals, shop drawings, operation and maintenance manuals, and closeout documentation
  • Coordinate material ordering, delivery schedules, and purchasing activities
  • Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules alongside Project Managers and field leadership
  • Support change order requests (CORs), change orders (COs), and associated documentation
  • Monitor labor productivity, labor hours, and project cost performance
  • Assist with billing processes, collections, and project financial reporting
  • Verify materials and completed work align with invoicing and billing requirements
  • Coordinate communication between owners, architects, engineers, contractors, suppliers, and project teams
  • Support project quality control requirements and documentation
  • Assist with project closeout efforts and turnover documentation
  • Support safety initiatives and ensure compliance with company and project safety programs
  • Help identify project risks and develop solutions that support successful outcomes
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to read and understand construction documents, contracts, specifications, and drawings
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
