Title: Mechanical/Piping Engineer, P.E. or E.I.T. – Heavy Industrial & Power Plant

Location: Pittsburgh, PA

Scope

Based on project requirements, prepares work plans, develops reports and data tables for work performed on high energy piping systems. Works with owner and others in the preparation of outage packages for the NDT of piping welds and piping support inspections. Interfaces with client engineers through written and verbal communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, PE preferred, EIT needed at minimum
• 10+ years of heavy industrial and power plant piping/mechanical engineering experience
• Knowledge in operation of fossil fuel power generation facilities
• Understanding of Industry Codes and Standards, especially ASME B31.1 & B31.3
• Pipe Stress Analysis experience helpful w/ Caesar II knowledge (this is not soley a pipe stress position but it is part of this role) – could typically work on high temperature steam piping systems to determine the aspects and problems and then input the piping system into Caesar to analyze the pipe stresses
• Ability to read and understand piping drawings
• Familiar with piping design and engineering beneficial
• Able to conduct field investigations to define project scopes
