Job summary

Hatch in Houston, TX is seeking highly motivated Mechanical/Piping Engineers to join our Project Delivery Group. You will apply mechanical design, stress analysis and hydraulic system design within an integrated engineering team on USA region projects.

The role offers exposure to 3D modeling, data-centric engineering, and disciplined delivery across lifecycle from study to commissioning. A BS in mechanical engineering and 5+ years' experience are preferred; PE license or EIT is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from a recognized university.
• Approximately 5+ years of engineering experience in mechanical and piping projects.
• Strong deliverable focus and ability to plan work.
• Familiarity with codes/standards and procurement/commissioning processes.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform Digital Project Delivery of Mechanical and Piping Engineering functions within multi-disciplinary teams.
• Assist project team in understanding project requirements related to scope, cost and schedule.
• Support site field visits to obtain data.
• Support equipment identification, sizing, and vendor reviews.
• Support piping system design, including hydraulic analysis and P&ID development.
• Interface with vendors and client through project lifecycle.
• Participate in HAZOP reviews.
• Promote ethical engineering practices and Hatch safety culture.
