Job summary

BCG Attorney Search seeks a mechanical engineering patent agent or technical advisor to join its patents team in Austin, TX. The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of patent prosecution experience and a strong mechanical engineering background.

Responsibilities include assisting in patent prosecution, drafting and reviewing applications, and collaborating with attorneys and clients on strategy. Patent bar admission or eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Mechanical engineering degree or equivalent.
• Two to five years of patent prosecution experience.
• Registered with the USPTO or eligible to register.
• Experience with automotive control systems, oil & gas tools, or medical devices.
• Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in patent prosecution and related matters.
• Collaborate with attorneys and clients on patent strategies.
• Conduct technical research and analysis.
• Draft and review patent applications.
