Job summary

Methode Electronics is seeking Mechanical, Optical, and Electrical Engineering Interns to support product development for exterior and interior lighting in automotive and commercial vehicles. Interns will gain hands-on experience in design, development, and testing of advanced systems, contributing to Methode's legacy of innovation and quality.

Role involves collaboration across teams, design reviews, bench testing, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Optical Engineering or a related STEM field.
• Strong foundation in engineering principles including thermodynamics, physics, and electrical design.
• Familiarity with lab tools and measurement equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on design, simulation, and testing of mechanical, optical, and electrical systems and prototypes.
• Assist troubleshooting and resolution of design or functionality challenges.
• Prepare engineering documents: schematics, reports, drawings, specs.
• Conduct experiments and data collection to validate system performance.
• Participate in design reviews and cross-functional team meetings.
