Elizabethtown Area School District is hiring Mechanical Maintenance Technicians responsible for preventive maintenance, repairs, and installations across various systems in District facilities. The role involves troubleshooting HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and other building systems.
Candidates should possess a High School Diploma or GED and experience in building maintenance or related fields. The position requires the ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
The Mechanical Maintenance Technicians performs a wide variety of preventive maintenance, repair, installation, inspection, and operational duties to maintain District facilities, grounds, equipment, and systems in a safe, efficient, and functional condition. Responsibilities may include work involving HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, roofing, flooring, automotive equipment, security systems, fire alarm systems, grounds maintenance, and related building systems. Depending on qualifications and experience, employees may perform advanced troubleshooting, lead projects, coordinate maintenance activities, oversee contractors, and assist with planning and administration of the District's preventive maintenance program. We are hiring multiple Technicians.
Knowledge of building maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems. Ability to troubleshoot equipment, read blueprints and schematics, operate maintenance tools and equipment, use computer software for work orders and records, communicate effectively, and work independently or as part of a team.
High School Diploma or GED required. Experience in building maintenance, construction trades, facilities operations, HVAC, mechanical systems, automotive maintenance, or related fields. Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License required. Additional certifications may be required based on assignment.
Ability to lift up to 80 pounds with assistance, work from ladders and lifts, and perform duties indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Exposure to equipment, machinery, heights, and other maintenance-related hazards may occur.
