Position Overview

We are seeking a Mechanical Inspector with experience in solar tracker systems to support a utility-scale photovoltaic project in Oregon.

The selected candidate will be responsible for inspecting mechanical installation activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and manufacturer (OEM) requirements, particularly in tracker systems.

This role is focused on quality control, inspection, and reporting, with strong presence in the field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect installation of solar tracker systems (structure, torque, alignment, and assembly).
  • Verify compliance with OEM specifications (preferably Nextracker) and project standards.
  • Monitor mechanical installation activities including piles, structures, and tracker components.
  • Perform quality inspections and field audits.
  • Identify and report non-conformities or installation issues.
  • Document progress with daily reports, field notes, and photographic evidence.
  • Support punch list development and pre-commissioning inspections.
  • Coordinate with construction and QA/QC teams to resolve issues.
  • Ensure adherence to safety and quality procedures on site.
