Job summary

PCL Construction, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Foreman within Civil West to coordinate and supervise concrete construction and pipeline activities in water/wastewater plants.

You will organize crews, ensure timely progress, and manage safety and quality across site operations, with relocation possible to project locations as needed. The role requires extensive foreman experience, strong leadership, and a focus on collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years craft and/or supervisory experience in highway and/or bridge construction.
  • Confident public speaking and presenting skills.
  • First Aid, CPR, and OSHA training, plus safe use of hand & power tools.

Responsibilities

  • Plans and organizes construction activities and subcontractor work scopes.
  • Completes three-week look-ahead schedules.
  • Prioritizes and sequences work to maximize efficiency and identify issues.
  • Leads health, safety, quality and environmental processes.

Here's how a Mechanical Foreman for PCL Construction, Inc. within Civil West contributes to our team:

  • Plans and organizes construction activities and organizes specific work activities of subcontractors.
  • Completes three week look-ahead schedules
  • Prioritizes and sequences construction activities to maximize efficiency and identify problem areas.
  • Particpates in health, safety, quality and environmental processes.
  • Supervises and directs work activities related to concrete construction, exposed/underground process pipe construction, equipment installation, and other civil related construction activities inside of water/wastewater plants.
  • Ensures proper maintenance of equipment.
  • Identifies equipment, materials, and resources required to perform activities.
  • Provides input into cost saving methods and practices.
  • Monitors cost control and job costing, quantity reporting, forecasting and productivity.
  • Supervises and trains field personnel
  • Leads PCL’s Behavior Based Safety program by modeling best practices, running safety meetings, educating teams about hazards, and applying accident recording and reporting procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication inclusive of reports, letters, and other documentation.
Qualifications
  • Total of 10+ years craft and/or supervisory experience in highway and bridge construction
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience as a Foreman, leading crews in concrete construction, structural steel and/or related activities.
  • Confident public speaking and presenting skills
  • First Aid, CPR, and OSHA training, as well as safe use of Hand & Power tools.
  • Must be able to work long hours in varying temperature extremes.
  • Candidates must be willing to relocate to project locations as needed.
