Job summary

Loenbro, LLC in Ellendale, North Dakota seeks a Project Superintendent to plan, schedule, and oversee industrial mechanical construction projects up to $10M, assisting the Project Manager with coordinating craft supervision and field activities.

You will coordinate labor and subcontractors, monitor schedule, budget, and quality, and ensure safety and compliance for the project lifecycle. This onsite role requires travel and a focus on delivering value to customers.

Qualifications

  • Engineering or Construction Management degree preferred.

  • Review project schedules with Superintendents/Foreman and keep critical activities on track.
  • Oversee field activities for industrial construction projects from setup to closeout.
  • Document field issues affecting budget, quality, or schedule and report to PM.
  • Respond to subcontractor requests impacting budget, quality, or schedule.
  • Supervise daily work of employees and ensure contract conformance.
  • Ensure safety and environmental requirements are met.
  • Coordinate labor, equipment, and subcontractor resources for timely, cost-effective completion.

Job SummaryResponsible for planning, scheduling, employee oversite, and management of industrial mechanical construction projects up to $10M in value. Assists Project Manager in coordinating activities of employees engaged in construction process, utilizing knowledge of equipment, techniques, procedures, and specifications.This position is responsible for assisting craft supervision to coordinating activities of workers engaged in construction process, utilizing knowledge of equipment, techniques, procedures, and specifications.

  • Review project schedules with Superintendents/Foreman. Ensure that critical activities and decisions remain on schedule for the project management team.
  • Oversee field specific activities for industrial construction projects from setup to closeout related to the industries that Industrial Construction serves energy, power, mining, manufacturing, pharma, etc.
  • Document project field issues that impact budget, quality, or schedule, and provide to the project management team.
  • Respond to subcontractor requests for field issues that impact budget, quality, or schedule.
  • Supervises the daily work of employees.
  • Verifies conformance of finished work product, including overseeing compliance with all contract requirements.
  • Ensure all safety and environmental requirements are met.
  • Coordination of all labor, equipment, and subcontractor resources with Project subordinates and other Loenbro companies to ensure timely, cost-effective completion of project.

Minimum Qualifications

Required:

  • Engineering or Construction Management Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction of industrial & Commercial projects.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a leadership role overseeing mechanical craft trades.
  • Proficient with all Microsoft Office products.
  • Completion of OSHA 30 or equivalent safety training.
  • Ability to travel at least 75% of the time.
  • Driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Preferred:

  • Experience with HCSS Heavy Job or similar job costing program.
  • Experience with P6 or similar scheduling software.
  • Experience with Viewpoint or similar account software.
  • Experience with Heavy Bid or similar estimating software.

  • Climbing up and down stairs and ladders to both get in and out of trenches and up to elevated platforms (scaffolding at significant heights)
  • Lifting necessary equipment and materials 1-50 pounds, 50% of the time monthly for required tasks
  • Potential or Periodic amounts of time for the following: Walking on uneven terrain, with an average of two miles per day.
  • Standing.
  • Sit, stoop, crawl, and kneel.
  • use of respirator if position requires.
  • Driving if required to travel.
  • Outside most of the time.
  • Potential exposure to extreme cold and hot temperatures.
  • Mining environment.
  • Fit and move in confined spaces including tanks and vessels.
  • Limited working surfaces.
  • Exposure to noise above 85 decibels and intense odors.
  • Exposure to areas with limited visibility.

This role requires compliance with all applicable safety regulations, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and Loenbro's Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) policies.
