Job summary

Integrated Power Services is seeking a Mechanical Fitter to repair industrial AC/DC motors, generators, gearboxes, and related equipment. You will diagnose, disassemble, repair, and reassemble units, while maintaining accuracy in data measurement and compliance with safety protocols.

The role focuses on mechanical rebuilds of motors, pumps, and fans, with potential overtime as required. The ideal candidate has electromechanical experience, strong mechanical skills, and the ability to read

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to interpret technical drawings.
• AC/DC motor experience is preferred.
• Able to perform basic math functions.
• Capable of diagnosing and repairing industrial electric motors, fans, pumps, gearboxes and other rotating equipment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose incoming units, disassemble, repair and assemble items for shipment.
• Perform mechanical rebuilds on rotating equipment (motors, pumps, fans).
• Measure and record data using tables, dial indicators, micrometers, and vibration meters.
• Use multi-meters, meggers, and measure winding resistance, RTD and heater resistances, and clearances.
• Participate in daily operation discussions on customer products.

Overview

We are seeking talented Mechanical Fitters to join our team. As a mechanical fitter for IPS, you will apply innovative, analytical, and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail and customer focus to repair industrial AC/DC electric motors, generators, gear boxes and related equipment while supporting our continuous improvement process culture.

Duties

• Diagnose incoming units, disassemble, repair, assemble, and prepare items for shipment.
• Perform mechanical rebuilds on rotating apparatus repairs like electric motors, pumps, and fans.
• Measure and record data using tables, dial indicators, micrometers, and vibration meters.
• Use multi-meters, meggers, Baker instruments, and measure winding resistance, RTD and heater resistances, and mechanical fits and clearances.
• Participate in daily operation discussions on customer products

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• AC/DC motor experience preferred.
• Able to perform basic math functions.
• Capability to diagnose and repair industrial electric motors, fans, pumps, gearboxes, and other rotating equipment.
• Able to understand, perform and retain various job-related training, operational and safety procedures.
• Excellent technical and mechanical skills.
• Self-starter and highly motivated person.
• Work overtime and weekends as required.
