Qualifications

• College/University graduate preferred with 10 years relevant experience or equivalent combination of skills and experience with proven specialist expertise including fiscal responsibility
• Responsible for a single department or functional area either as a manager or functional expert
• Initiates and maintains relationships with key staff and other departments
• Makes authoritative decisions and recommendations having important impact on activities of the company
• Demonstrates a high degree of creativity, foresight and mature judgment in anticipating and solving unprecedented complexity
• Determines program objectives and requirements, organizing programs and projects and developing standards and guidelines for diverse activities

Responsibilities

• Track productivity on past projects and follow up on past awards
• Fill in minor and major scope/design gaps
• Provide detailed breakouts for customer
• Review all project documents and identify scope of work
• Material, labor, and equipment takeoff
• Walk difficult projects
• Identify and document difficult/non-standard conditions
• Clarify scope with General Contractor and Engineer
• Obtain quotes and coordinate/qualify scope with vendors and subcontractors
• Completely assemble the bid tab in a timely manner
• Verify estimate accuracy by comparing data versus similar bids
• Liaison between Estimating and Operations
• Provide complete and accurate trade specific estimates
• Assemble bid tab with estimates and vendor/subcontractor quotes
• Identify value engineering opportunities
• Other duties as assigned

Position Summary
