Leading Bio Ingredients manufacturer within the Des Moines IA area is in search of a Mechanical Engineering Technologist. This position focuses on process engineering and technical drafting (AutoCAD). Candidates should have an Associate's Degree or Certification in drafting, engineering technology, etc. Experience with piping and instrumentation diagrams, process flow diagrams, and plant layout design is highly desired.

Responsibilities

1. Create and monitor piping and instrumentation diagrams, process flow diagrams, and plant layout drawings.
2. Partner with process engineers to translate conceptual designs into detailed technical drawings.
3. Design and layout piping systems, equipment, and instrumentation for industrial facilities.
4. Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.
5. Travel 35-50% for site verification and documentation.
6. Organize and maintain drawing documentation and revisions.
