Job summary

Stellar Energy is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead the design of modular chiller plants (MCPs) and supervise mechanical engineers, coordinating with client and fabrication teams to ensure compliant, high-quality outcomes.

The role is based in Jacksonville, FL with up to 20% travel. Requires a BS in mechanical or chemical engineering (ABET) and 5+ years in HVAC design; PE preferred and CAD skills beneficial.

Qualifications

• BS in mechanical or chemical engineering from ABET accredited university.
• Minimum five years of modular chiller plant, power plant, or HVAC design experience.
• Competent in selecting mechanical equipment and piping system design.
• Familiar with codes, standards, and inter-discipline interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Manage mechanical engineers and design engineers.
• Undertake engineering and design work independently.
• Ensure quality and accuracy of engineering/design work.
• Provide technical leadership in bids, vendor meetings and design reviews.
• Prepare and review mechanical specifications and design deliverables.
