Mott MacDonald in Los Angeles invites you to join our summer internship program, a structured three-month development journey to launch a career in mechanical engineering. This internship offers hands-on experiences with mentoring and real-world projects in a collaborative environment.

You will design engineering solutions, conduct site inspections, join client meetings, and refine designs while building professional relationships through our Early Career Professionals Network.

As a participant in Prelaunch, our summer internship program, you will embark on a structured three-month development journey that provides the foundational building blocks for starting a successful career at Mott MacDonald.

To be considered for this 2027 opportunity, here’s what you’ll need:

• Progress towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• Demonstrated interest in your chosen field through previous internships, volunteering opportunities, or organization memberships
• Creative thinking skills, with a methodical and pragmatic approach to problem solanving
• Proficient communication and presentation skills to engage confidently with clients and colleagues
• Resilient, solution-oriented mindset, with a focus on continuous growth and delivering value
• Ability to build and maintain relationships and rapport with internal and external stakeholders

This position is located in Los Angeles, CA. You must be able to reliably commute to our office in this location, per our hybrid working policy.

Benefits & Rewards

Eligible interns may participate in Mott MacDonald's 401(k) retirement savings plan and gain valuable hands-on experience, mentorship, and professional development while working on meaningful projects.

The expected salary for this position is $18/hr - $35/hr

Individual pay is determined based on several factors such as work location, education, experience, and unique skills.
