Job summary

Leviton is seeking a current Mechanical Engineering student (BS or MS) for a hands-on internship in Melville, NY. You will collaborate with Mechanical Engineers to develop design concepts, layouts, and 2-D drawings using the Corporate CAD system and participate in the design of injection molded parts and metal stamping components.

This role requires creativity, teamwork, and CAD knowledge; you should be pursuing mechanical engineering and be at least a sophomore.

Qualifications

• Must be creative with the ability to work in a team environment.
• Knowledge of CAD with experience in solid design is desired.

Responsibilities

• Develop design concepts, layouts, and detail 2-D drawings using the Corporate CAD system.
• Design of injection molded plastic and metal stamping parts.
• Perform analysis for form, fit and function of high volume production parts and assemblies as required.
