Job summary

Draper is seeking a summer intern in the Mechanical Engineering Division in Cambridge, MA. You will tackle a broad range of technical challenges, applying engineering principles to design and analyze components, and collaborate with engineers and technicians to fabricate and assemble hardware systems.

Responsibilities include design and testing, data analysis, and 3-D CAD work using SolidWorks and/or PTC Creo, with opportunities to work in Draper’s machine shop and rapid prototyping lab.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited full-time undergraduate or graduate degree program required.
• Flexibility regarding hours and program duration based on school schedule.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance engineering solutions for challenging problems.
• Implement, test, perform analysis, and provide documentation support.
• Generate and present test reports with plots, tables, criteria, and conclusions from data.
• Complete assignments to develop practical knowledge of processes, equipment, and systems.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
