Neuralink is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern located in South San Francisco. As an intern, you will design and produce hardware solutions for cutting-edge brain-computer interface devices, contributing to projects from concept through production.
The ideal candidate is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least one year of mechanical design experience. The position offers compensation at $35 per hour and various benefits including excellent medical insurance and flexible time off.
We are creating devices that enable a bi-directional interface with the brain. These devices allow us to restore movement to the paralyzed, restore sight to the blind, and revolutionize how humans interact with their digital world.
The Brain Interfaces Mechanical Engineering Team is responsible for the design, build, and testing of all mechanical systems in our implant and charger. Our team also develops test infrastructure to accelerate hardware development and manufacturing, designs electronics packaging for our charger and implant electronics, and creates tooling to interface the implant with the surgical robot.
As a Mechanical Engineering Intern, you will support the design and production of hardware solutions for our brain-computer interface devices, including components for surgical robotics, automation, microfabrication, and more. You will have the opportunity to contribute to projects at various stages from concept through production, applying your mechanical engineering knowledge in the challenging field of brain-computer interfaces.
