This full-time 6-month assignment supports design, development, testing, and documentation of ultra-high-purity gas purification systems used in semiconductor manufacturing. You will model in SolidWorks, evaluate components, assist with vessel and piping documentation, conduct lab testing, troubleshoot hardware, and help implement engineering change requests.

Job Title: Mechanical Engineering Co-Op

The Role:

Our site in San Luis Obispo, CA is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Co-Op to join our team for the Spring 2027 season. This assignment is intended to be full time, 6 months in duration. The Mechanical Engineering Co-op supports the design, development, testing, and documentation of ultra-high-purity (UHP) gas purification systems used in semiconductor manufacturing. Working closely with mechanical engineers, manufacturing, quality, and project teams, the co-op assists with CAD modeling, engineering drawings, bill of material management, prototype testing, data analysis, and technical documentation.

What You’ll Do:

• Mechanical design activities (3D modeling, drafting) in Solidworks
• Evaluate component performance
• Assist with pressure vessel and piping system documentation
• Conducting laboratory testing
• Troubleshooting hardware issues
• Implementing engineering change requests

What We Seek:

• Pursuing a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field

Desired Major(s) & Graduation Year:

Mechanical Engineering Aerospace Engineering Graduating in Spring 2027 or later

Eligibility:

• Must be a currently enrolled student
• Available to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in January through June
• Must be familiar with the university’s requirements to participate in a co-op program
• Entegris is not currently hiring candidates for co-ops/internships who will need, now or at any time in the future, Entegris sponsorship through the H1-B lottery.
