Job summary

L3Harris Technologies, Inc. seeks an Associate, Mechanical Engineering in Palm Bay, FL. You will support both new product development and existing products on the factory floor, translating requirements into mechanical specs and test plans, and performing verification testing.

You will conduct structural and thermal analyses to ensure designs meet customer needs, draft test procedures, and work with mechanical designers on CAD models and part documentation. A security clearance may be required.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Fundamental mechanical engineering knowledge applicable to development and testing.
• Ability to translate requirements into mechanical specifications and tests.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical engineering support for new product development and factory support.
• Translate product requirements into a mechanical specification and test plan.
• Execute verification testing as defined by the specification and plan.
• Conduct design analysis and testing (structural and thermal) to meet customer needs.
• Understand customer needs, generate test procedures, and execute tests.
• Generate and process ECOs as required.
• Collaborate with mechanical designers on CAD models and documentation
