GCI Incorporated is seeking a Mechanical Engineer/Modeling and Fabrication Technician to join our engineering team in Chantilly, VA. You will design, prototype, test, and troubleshoot new hardware, develop test protocols, and contribute to system specifications with cross-functional teams.
Ideal candidates have an Associate’s degree in CAD/3D Modeling or Precision Drafting, at least 5 years of relevant experience, and proficiency with CAD tools such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.

This job frequently requires the individual use hands and fingers to operate, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls in a light-production shop facility with professional manufacturing equipment.
GCI’s systems are distributed regionally throughout the Continental United States (CONUS), and require quarterly updates to software systems, and occasionally hardware, as well. The successful candidate is able to travel at least four times a year to CONUS sites for two (2) to four (4) days to perform the scheduled maintenance.
