Job summary

Fuse Energy is hiring a Mechanical Engineer to design and analyze high‑power pulsed power components for TITAN and related generators. You will create detailed drawings, assembly procedures, and reports while collaborating across engineering disciplines to meet ambitious milestones.

Travel to coastal sites is expected as needed. The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, 2+ years CAD experience (SolidWorks/Siemens NX), FEA proficiency, and willingness for bi‑coastal travel.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years' experience with SolidWorks/Siemens NX and CAD modeling (internships count toward this requirement).
  • Demonstrated experience working on a team and achieving a common goal.
  • Ability to create detailed engineering drawings, assembly procedures, and reports and participate in design reviews.
  • 1+ years experience running FEA and verifying with hand calculations.
  • Ability and willingness for bi‑coastal travel.

Job description

Fuse is on a mission to accelerate the world’s transition to fusion energy. Our core product is TITAN: an Impedance Matched Marx Generator (IMG). TITAN is the most efficient and powerful (TW) machine of its kind. Fusers have built and licensed Magical Unicorn and FAETON I, 2 novel pulsed power generators.

You are joining an early-stage fusion company. Please expect to wear different hats and take 0 to 1 ownership of objectives. Changing the world is hard but honorable and fulfilling. You should expect to work extremely hard to make a dent. This is not a regular job. Fusers are on a mission to change the world and get shit done.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience;
  • 2+ years' experience with SolidWorks/Siemens NX and CAD modeling (internships count toward this requirement);

Desirable Skills

  • Experience in data management.
Additional requirements
  • Must be able to travel and work extended hours/weekends as needed.
