Job summary

Aegis Worldwide is seeking a skilled mechanical engineer to design and develop mechanical systems from concept through production in Milford Charter Township, Michigan. You will combine hands-on development with disciplined engineering practices, including design reviews, validation testing, and clear documentation to ensure quality and repeatability.

You will build and test prototypes in-house (and sometimes in the field), perform analyses (FEA, fatigue, motion) to validate designs, and work

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to independently perform engineering calculations
• Python experience would be a significant plus
• Experience with design reviews, validation testing, and clear documentation

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical systems from concept through production
• Build and test prototypes in-house (and sometimes in the field)
• Perform analysis (FEA, fatigue, motion) to validate designs
• Work cross-functionally with customers, controls, and manufacturing teams
• Investigate failures and improve designs based on real performance
• Support installations and testing at customer sites when needed (~10%)
