Innova Solutions is hiring a Mechanical Engineer in Herndon, VA for a 12-month contract. The role focuses on design, development, and qualification of precision mechanical hardware, including electro-mechanical systems.

Candidate must own significant system aspects, work hands-on in a lab, and lead multidisciplinary design efforts. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years (or a Graduate degree with 4+ years), Creo CAD proficiency, and an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 6 years of relevant experience.
• Graduate Degree with minimum 4 years of related experience.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Own tasks with limited supervision in high-consequence programs.
• Communicate regularly with stakeholders and customers.
• Generate technical data packages (drawings, parts, assemblies).
• Prototype, integrate, and test component parts and assemblies.
• Develop test plans/procedures for mechanical subsystems; perform tests.
• Participate in peer reviews and design reviews (PDRs/CDRs).
• Lead designers/technicians within a design team and drive changes.
• Support field testing as ME representative; follow product development processes.
