Job summary

Highlander Consultants is seeking a licensed Mechanical Engineer (P.E. or EIT near licensure) to perform investigations and forensic engineering in Jacksonville, Florida.

The role requires 5 years of mechanical engineering experience, a BS/MS in ME, and travel at least weekly. Strong communication and the ability to work independently are essential as you deliver detailed analyses and client-focused reports.

Qualifications

  • B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5 years of Mechanical Engineering experience.
  • P.E. license or on cusp (EIT near PE licensure).
  • Masters or Ph.D. is a plus.
  • Accident reconstruction experience is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel at least once per week.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

  • Conduct forensic investigations for clients.
  • Perform accident reconstruction when applicable.
  • Prepare detailed reports and present findings.

Mechanical Engineer, P.E.

We are currently looking for a licensed professional Mechanical Engineer who performs investigations & forensic engineering for our clients.

The Mechanical Engineer will provide comprehensive, disciplined engineering skill and perform in-depth forensic investigations

Required Qualifications

  • B.S. and or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5 years of Mechanical Engineering experience.
  • Professional Engineering (P.E) license or on the cusp of earning it (e.g. an EIT who is close to PE licensure)
  • Degrees such as a master's or Ph.D. are a plus.
  • Candidates who have accident reconstruction (enjoy working with automobiles) would be a big plus
  • Travel at least 1x / week
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates the ability to complete detailed work.
  • Exhibits effective time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and deliver timely work based on client needs.
  • Collaborative and friendly with the ability to work independently.
