Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Conduct investigations of vehicles, equipment, and accident sites to document evidence and determine damage.
  • Assess causation of accidents and failures; support insurers and litigation.
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to produce detailed reports.
  • Serve as an expert witness in court or depositions when needed.
  • Maintain billable hours and coordinate with EFI's national team on projects.

Prefer candidate reside in northern NJ, The DC/Baltimore area, Germantown, Columbia, Rockville, Bethesda, Annapolis, or Ellicott City.**## PRIMARY PURPOSE: To investigate accident sites, vehicles, and equipment, researching, documenting evidence and determine damage, and provide clients with expert opinions.## ## ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES* ## Conducts investigations of vehicles, equipment, and accident sites to document the evidence and determine the scope of damage.* ## Investigates and assesses damages due to failures and determines the origin of failure for insurers and litigation support.* ## Researches, evaluates, analyzes and tests the causation of accidents and failures.* ## Collaborates with other engineering disciplines to produce detailed reports outlining the cause of the accident.* ## Serves as an expert witness in court and/or in depositions.* ## Documents and maintains billable hours on a time and expense basis for failure analysis and engineering projects for clients.* ## Collaborates with EFI's national team of forensic experts to leverage experiences and assist on projects.## ## ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES* ## Performs other duties as assigned.* ## Travels as required.## ## QUALIFICATIONS## ## Education & Licensing Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required.
