Job summary

Blue Origin / Honeybee Robotics in Colorado is seeking technically brilliant engineers to design spacecraft motion control and mechanical systems. You will contribute to high reliability designs for aerospace applications and generate thorough design docs for vendors, supporting assembly, testing, and environmental qualification.

Required is a BS in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience; MS is preferred.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years of relevant industry experience designing moving mechanisms.
• Proficient with computer aided design and analysis tools (SolidWorks preferred).
• Excellent reporting and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop spacecraft motion control and actuation systems
• Mechanical systems design including bearings, gears, motors, and rotating mechanisms
• High reliability mechanical design and analysis for aerospace applications

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant industry experience designing moving mechanisms

Preferred Qualifications

• M.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• 8+ years of relevant industry experience
• Experience working in aerospace
• Experience with electronics packaging and wire harnessing
• Experience with LabVIEW and Matlab
• Experience leading a design team with or without direct reports

Base Pay Range for: CO applicants is $110,938.00 - $155,312.85
