Job summary

Mariana Minerals is seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer to lead the development of first-of-its-kind refining facilities for the world’s energy transition. You will design, build, and commission processing equipment and develop models for plant optimization, partnering with EPC teams to deliver cohesive, constructible packages.

You will manage equipment specifications, lead static design and FEA analyses, and coordinate with vendors from concept through commissioning.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals and ability to apply them to complex problems.
• Experience preparing and reviewing mechanical equipment specifications and vendor documentation.
• Experience with static equipment design and code-based calculations.
• FEA proficiency for stress, fatigue, and thermal/operational loading.
• Knowledge of ASME and API standards.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and meet schedules.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical scopes across project phases from concept to commissioning.
• Manage vendors from RFQ through installation and warranty close-out.
• Develop site layouts optimizing equipment arrangement for safety and maintainability.
• Prepare mechanical equipment specs, data sheets, and requisition packages.
• Perform static equipment design and structural calculations.
• Conduct FEA to validate designs under stress and thermal loading.
• Support 3D models and piping/mechanical interface layouts.
• Review drawings for codes, standards, and operability.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary EPC teams to deliver cohesive packages.
• Provide field support during construction and start-up.
