Responsibilities

This position is based out of our Lenexa, KS office.

Responsibilities
  • This position will offer you the ability to directly apply your knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and power plant engineering
  • You will be preparing calculations, specifications, and technical reports to support client reviews, and will additionally conduct equipment sizing, optimization evaluation, and selection in response to project needs
  • While supporting project teams with other Mechanical Engineers, you will be involved in system engineering, including the design, modifications, and analysis of power plant mechanical systems
  • There is the potential for you to travel to client and vendor offices for design reviews and to plant site locations for construction coordination
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited four-year university required
  • GPA above 3.0 preferred
  • Proficient in basic computer programs including MS Word and Excel, web browsing and e-mail programs
  • Strong work ethic – highly motivated and willing to do what it takes to get the job done right
  • Eligibility for this position requires US citizenship; the successful candidate must provide proof of US citizenship in order to obtain badge access to the site
  • Candidate must complete security questionnaire and successfully clear site access requirements check
  • All employees are subject and agree to random drug and alcohol testing as a condition of employment
  • Must be able to obtain a security clearance, as applicable
