Job summary

Klein Tools is seeking a Mechanical Engineer Intern to support the new product development team. You will assist with 3D printing, testing in the lab, and creating prototypes to drive improvements. This role offers hands-on experience in a collaborative engineering environment.

As an intern, you will work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to propose changes that enhance product quality and production efficiency. This is a hands-on learning opportunity in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to work in a team; organized and detail‑oriented.

Responsibilities

• Create 3D and post process prints for the new product development team to review.
• Identify and submit products to the test lab.
• Create or modify basic models or prints.
• Design and build prototypes and test fixtures to make recommendations for improvement.
• Test products in the Engineering test lab and report results.
• Analyze lab results and make engineering recommendations.
• Collaborate with manufacturing to improve processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
