Job summary

Relativity Space is seeking a CAD Library Specialist to organize and maintain CAD part libraries, update specs and materials, and verify data accuracy across design files. You will use Siemens NX and Teamcenter to manage engineering data and build standard part families for efficient design workflows.

Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure data integrity and design standards within an aerospace context.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience designing and working with 3D CAD tools in engineering context.
• Strong preference for Siemens NX CAD in a PLM Teamcenter environment.
• Ability to interface with customers and communicate clearly.

About the Team:

The Engineering Applications team in Software & IT is responsible for supporting all Engineering and Manufacturing tools and integrations - ensuring PLM (Teamcenter), NX CAD, Altium ECAD, LN ERP, and the Data Warehouse work together seamlessly to deliver stable, efficient, and scalable workflows across the enterprise. Team focuses on system stability, integrations, performance, license and budget management, and automation to enable secure, efficient data and process flow for all Engineering and Manufacturing functions. Team is responsible for recruiting and developing a skilled and talented team to support all functional Engineering teams, including Manufacturing.

About the Role:

• Organize and maintain CAD part libraries to ensure clean, reusable engineering data
• Manage and update specifications, materials, and engineering notes within the system
• Verify data accuracy and ensure consistency across design files and libraries
• Build and maintain standard part families to support efficient design workflows
• Utilize Siemens NX and Teamcenter to manage and structure engineering data
• Support and improve engineering workflows by enhancing data organization and accessibility
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure library content meets design needs and standards
• Contribute to maintaining best practices for data integrity within an aerospace or defense environment

About You:

• Working towards a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience designing and working with 3D CAD tools in mechanical engineering context.
• Strong preference for experience with Siemens NX CAD, ideally within a Siemens PLM Teamcenter integrated/managed environment.
• Ability to demonstrate an aptitude for understanding spatial relationships and must also be able to interface with customers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to haves but not required:

• SIEMENS NX user certifications.
• Working knowledge of PMI (Product Manufacturing Information), Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Familiarity with ASME 14.100 (Engineering Drawing Practices) and associated standards.
• Programming or scripting experience (e.g., VB, Python, NXOpen, PowerShell) is a plus.
