Job summary

Affiliated Engineers, Inc. (AEI) in Gainesville, FL is seeking a Mechanical Engineer Intern to assist with energy‑efficient building solutions and environmental design. You’ll work with a multidisciplinary team on real projects and gain hands‑on experience.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering, have completed at least 3 years of coursework, and show leadership, strong communication, and organizational skills. A collaborative, mentor‑driven environment awaits.

Qualifications

  • Enrollment in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering program (ABET-accredited).
  • Completed 3 years of coursework or have junior standing.
  • Minimum GPA of 2.5.
  • Leadership involvement in extracurricular activities/student organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in designing energy-efficient building systems and solutions.
  • Contribute to projects with experienced professionals on real assignments.
