bhbinc is seeking a full-time Mechanical Engineer in Training (EIT) in Fort Worth, Texas. You will design HVAC and plumbing projects and work closely with professionals, learning skills to launch your engineering career.

We are currently seeking a full‑time, exempt Mechanical Engineer in Training (EIT) in the Fort Worth office. As a Mechanical EIT, you will work with a team to design small to mid‑size HVAC and plumbing projects in a variety of industries, including commercial, industrial, retail, medical, critical care environments, municipal, schools, and more. You will work closely alongside Designers and Professional Engineers and under the direction of Project Managers as you learn skills to become one yourself.
This position is primarily sedentary with long periods of sitting, but occasional walking and lifting up to 25 lbs may occur. Occasional bending, squatting, and reaching overhead may also occur. In addition, extensive computer usage is required daily. The position will attend site visits, which may occasionally include exposure to weather, tight spaces, or dusty conditions.
This is a full‑time, exempt position, with an expectation to work 40 hours per week. BHB offers flexible scheduling options, including five 8‑hour days or four 9‑hour days with a half day on Friday morning. While the start and end times of the workday can be adjusted, employees are expected to establish and maintain a consistent schedule which must encompass the core business hours of 9 am – 4 pm. Although overtime is not required, it is requested at times to meet our clients’ needs.
