Job summary

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field plus 5–7 years industrial experience.
• MS in Mechanical Engineering or related field plus 2–4 years experience.
• PhD in related field plus 1–2 years experience.
• Industrial experience in structural analysis, static/dynamic analysis.

Responsibilities

• Create and use Finite Element Analysis models, alone or with supplier.
• Log quality issues and arrange corrections to models.
• Set up models and submit jobs to HPC cluster.
• Simulate static, modal, and dynamic responses.
• Understand design capacity for strength and fatigue.
• Author reports with assumptions, models and results.
• Draw conclusions and provide recommendations to partners.
• Participate in peer reviews and improve simulation methods.
