JST in Idaho is seeking a Mechanical Engineer III to design mechanical and automation systems for custom wet processing equipment, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and customer requirements.

You will develop system specifications, prepare final drawings, and create BOMs while coordinating with manufacturing to meet timelines and ship dates. Strong SolidWorks and 3D CAD skills, plus DFMA expertise, are essential for success.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field is required.
• 3+ years in mechanical engineering, preferably in equipment manufacturing or semiconductor industry.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks and 3D CAD design.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and DFMA principles.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, plumbing diagrams, and technical drawings.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Design mechanical and automation systems, including plumbing and tank systems, while ensuring compliance with standards and customer requirements.
• Support development of system specifications by evaluating design feasibility and updating requirements as projects evolve.
• Prepare final engineering drawings and develop approval drawing layouts as assigned.
• Respond to manufacturing questions and ensure products are manufactured per specifications; update drawings, routings, and BOMs as needed.
• Prepare BOMs, routers and manufacturing instructions.
• Ensure engineering deliverables are completed on schedule to support manufacturing timelines and ship dates.
• Collaborate with engineering teammates to coordinate designs and develop effective technical solutions.

We're seeking a Mechanical Engineer III to join our Engineering team and support the design and development of custom wet processing equipment.

What You'll Do

• Design mechanical and automation systems, including plumbing and tank systems, while ensuring compliance with engineering standards and customer requirements.
• Support the development of system and engineering specifications by evaluating design feasibility and updating specifications as project requirements evolve.
• Prepare final engineering drawings and develop approval drawing layouts as assigned.
• Respond to manufacturing questions and requests for information. Verify products are manufactured according to engineering specifications and resolve discrepancies by updating drawings, routings, and bills of materials (BOMs) as needed.
• Prepare bills of materials (BOMs), routers and manufacturing instructions
• Ensure engineering deliverables are completed on schedule to support manufacturing timelines and customer ship dates.
• Collaborate with engineering team members to coordinate designs, communicate design constraints, and develop effective technical solutions.
• Assist with project estimating and quoting by developing design concepts, selecting components, and providing manufacturing cost inputs.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
• 3+ years of mechanical engineering experience, preferably in equipment manufacturing, industrial manufacturing, or the semiconductor industry
• Proficiency with SolidWorks and 3D CAD design
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and design-for-manufacturing principles
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, plumbing diagrams, and technical drawings
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
