Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation is seeking a Mechanical Engineer III to lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of advanced mechanical systems for aerospace and defense applications. The role requires in-depth expertise and the ability to manage multiple projects in a rapid environment.

You will mentor junior engineers, perform analyses, and ensure proper documentation and testing while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
  • 6+ years of mechanical engineering experience.
  • Advanced understanding of mechanical design and CAD software.
  • Practical knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
  • Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools and CATIA/3DEXPERIENCE.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design and development of advanced mechanical systems for aerospace & defense.
  • Perform complex analyses and simulations to validate and optimize designs.
  • Develop and oversee test plans and procedures.
  • Review and approve technical documentation and reports.
