Job summary

Sierra Nevada Company, LLC in Lone Tree, CO seeks a Mechanical Engineer II for design, development, testing and certification of complex mechanical systems in aerospace/defense. You’ll work with cross‑functional teams to ensure performance and quality standards are met.

Responsibilities include design, analysis, testing and documentation, with a preference for candidates with GD&T familiarity and ability to obtain a DoD security clearance. This is an in-office role in a hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of mechanical engineering experience.
• Proficient CAD design and familiarity with CAE/FEA tools.
• Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Secret Security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and systems for aerospace and defense applications.
• Conduct detailed analyses and simulations to validate and optimize designs.
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and procedures.
• Prepare and review technical documentation and reports.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate mechanical designs into overall systems.
• Ensure designs meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
