Clearance Requirement: Active Secret security clearance

Experience Requirement: 5+ years

Compensation Range: $130,000 – $200,000 (based on experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer II to support the design, analysis, and development of mechanical systems for electronic products in a mission-focused environment. This role is ideal for a mid-level engineer with a strong background in thermal engineering, mechanical design, and electronics packaging, who can work independently while collaborating closely with cross-functional engineering teams. The Mechanical Engineer II will play a key role in supporting Integrated Product Teams across the full product lifecycle, including design, analysis, prototyping, testing, and sustainment of digital, RF/analog, and mixed-signal electronics hardware. This position requires hands‑on design experience and the ability to apply thermal principles to real-world engineering challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design mechanical parts, enclosures, and assemblies for electronic systems using SolidWorks or similar CAD tools
  • Lead and support thermal analysis efforts for electronic hardware, including heat dissipation and airflow considerations
  • Perform and interpret thermal and structural evaluations through simulation and testing

Required Qualifications

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team‑based engineering environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience using ANSYS or similar analysis tools
  • Background in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
  • Experience analyzing convection and radiation effects in electronic systems
  • Familiarity with electronics packaging and PCB mechanical integration
  • Experience supporting prototyping, lab testing, and environmental testing
