Job summary

Affiliated Engineers, Inc. (AEI) in Austin seeks a Mechanical Engineer II to advance energy‑efficient building systems.

You will develop and document designs from concept through basis of design, collaborating with users, partners, and field surveys to deliver reliable, sustainable solutions. Qualified candidates have a BSAE/BSME, 3+ years of HVAC design experience in sophisticated facilities, and PE licensure or the intent to obtain it.

• 3+ years’ experience designing HVAC building systems in technically sophisticated facilities.
• PE License or ability to become licensed.

As a Mechanical Engineer II in our Austin office, you will help us empower our clients to achieve energy-efficient building solutions, save global environments, and create a better, greener future for all.

In this role, you will exercise independent judgment to develop and document system designs from concept plans and technical design criteria and interprets and utilizes information set forth in basis of design as well as information gathered from users, project partners, field surveys, and code research.

Expertise Of Our Most Successful Mechanical Engineer II

• BSAE or BSME required.
• 3+ years’ experience designing HVAC building systems in technically sophisticated facilities.
• PE License or ability to become licensed.
• Expertise in computer operation for engineering design programs (i.e. Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Navisworks) preferred.
