SharkNinja in Needham, MA is seeking a Mechanical Engineer I - Indoor Heated to move products from concept to retail. You will own design studies, CAD development, and prototype testing in our on-site labs.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
1–3 years in mechanical product or industrial design.
Proficiency in SolidWorks or Creo.
Experience taking real products to market.
Ability to identify, solve, implement and verify technical solutions within a team.

Responsibilities

Own design studies to solve real technical and consumer problems.
Move ideas from sketch to CAD to 3D model to working prototype quickly.
Carry designs through concept, CAD, prototyping, and verification.

What you'll do

Own design studies that crack real technical and consumer problems - solo and alongside the team
Move an idea from sketch to CAD layout to 3D model to working prototype, fast, and use each step to prove or kill the concept
Carry designs through concept, CAD, prototyping, and verification
Apply rigorous engineering fundamentals so solutions hold up in the real world, not just on screen
Build and test prototypes in our on-site labs, then turn results into clear recommendations
Partner closely with our UK and China Product Development teams so good ideas survive the journey to production

What you’ll bring

Required

Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design Engineering, Industrial Design Engineering, or similar technical field
1-3 years in mechanical, product, or industrial design
Proficiency in SolidWorks or Creo
Experience taking real products to market
Ability to identify, solve, implement, and verify technical solutions independently while working as part of a team
Comfort in a hands‑on lab environment (training provided)
A collaborative, entrepreneurial, roll‑up‑your‑sleeves attitude

Nice to have

Consumer goods or household appliance experience
Plastic manufacturing process knowledge
Working appreciation for electrical engineering, software, or UX design
