Job summary

Manpower, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer I for a leading Energy and Power Generation Engineering company in Schenectady, NY.

You will join the Engineering Department and support the Customer Drawing Engineering and Turbine-Generator Interface Team with strong analytical skills and attention to detail. The role requires a BSME and 0–3+ years of experience, with hands-on tasks such as calculating forces, performing CoG calculations, and documenting engineering work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME).
• 0-3+ years of Mechanical Engineering experience.
• Knowledge of mechanical design principles, forces and moments, and Free Body Diagrams (FBD).
• Understanding of structural foundations and building codes.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Calculate and document engineering forces and moments for turbine-generator customer interfaces.
• Perform Mass and Center of Gravity (CoG) calculations for engineering projects.
• Support customer interface engineering related to piping, foundations, and structural systems.
• Prepare and maintain engineering documentation and standard work procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
